Both pedagogy and its science should face questions of power. Educational science takes up this challenge. On the one hand, it explicitly criticizes pedagogical practice and the profession and critically questions the discipline itself; on the other hand, it rather implicitly strives for power and, as an existing practice, is endowed with power and exercises power. The volume outlines these aspects in six contributions and thus offers a comprehensive picture of the power of pedagogy. Both empirical and theoretical-argumentative positions are represented.
