Questions about Inlibra
Will the existing access to the eLibraries of Nomos, C.H. Beck and VDI remain available?
Yes, all existing access authorisations, licences and activations will be automatically transferred to the new Inlibra platform. Access will continue seamlessly.
How do I get access to content?
Most Inlibra content is subject to a fee and will be activated after purchase. Afterwards, you can access the content. Simply send us an email at service@inlibra.com and let us know which titles you are interested in. We will then inform you about the prices without any obligation.
Activation requires an active account. Please refer to our help section "How can I create an account for Inlibra?" for this.
Some Inlibra content is available Open Access, free of charge and without login.
How do I know which content I have access to?
Please sign in to check which content you have access to. As soon as you open the desired content, you will see a corresponding label: "No Access", "Partial Access", or "Full Access".
If you have not yet created a personal account, please refer to our help section "How can I create an account for Inlibra?"
How can I access purchased content?
Log in to your account. The content you have access to is labelled either "Partial Access" or "Full Access".
Alternatively, you can use the search function. When viewing search results, you will find the menu item "Access" at the top left of the screen. Activate the checkbox "All with Access" to limit the results to content that you can access.
Navigate to the desired title or journal issue. A separate PDF file for the full-text view is then available for each chapter or article.
I cannot (anymore) access the content I need.
Most Inlibra content is available when it has been previously purchased. If you have not yet purchased the desired content, please refer to "How do I get access to content?"
If you have already purchased the content but still do not have access, we will be happy to assist you personally and promptly at service@inlibra.com.
Which options do I have for searching content?
The quickest and simplest way to search is via the search bar on the Inlibra homepage. Alternatively, click the magnifying glass symbol next to the language selection. Enter your search term into the search bar. This searches the full text of all available content.
For a detailed search, use the "Advanced Search" function. A menu then opens that allows you to refine your search.
A useful method for increasing the number of relevant results is truncation. For example, if you want to search for every occurrence of "Rechtsphilosophie", instead of entering only "Rechtsphilosophie" you can use truncation and enter "rechtsphil*" — this will produce far more results, because words such as "rechtsphilosophisch", "rechtsphilosophische", etc. will also be found.
Which Nomos content is available on Inlibra?
Inlibra combines the Nomos academic programme from 2007 onwards. You will also find many of our journal issues published since that time.
You can browse the content via a thematic structure on the left-hand side of the screen — the titles are organised under "Subject Areas", thematically grouped into Law, Politics, Economics, Media Studies, History, Sociology, Educational Research, Europe, Health and Philosophy.
By clicking on a subject area, the corresponding result list opens; you can then further refine your search using various criteria, such as publication year or publication type.
Our practitioner literature such as legal texts, commentaries and form books can be found in the NomosShop at http://www.nomos-shop.de/ or in digital form on beck-online.de.
