Zusammenfassung

Dieses Buch zeigt verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Umsetzung des Grundsatzes der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter auf dem Arbeitsmarkt auf. Zunächst werden die Mechanismen in der EU und dem Vereinigten Königreich dargestellt, wie z.B. nachträglicher Rechtsschutz, positive Maßnahmen wie öffentliche Auftragsvergabe und Geschlechterquoten sowie familienfreundliche Gesetzgebung, die eine aktivere Teilnahme von Frauen am Arbeitsleben fördern kann. Es wird kritisch erörtert, ob einige europäische Erfahrungen für China nützlich und angemessen sein könnten. Insbesondere Rechtsmittel gegen geschlechtsspezifische Diskriminierung, die Möglichkeit des "Kaufs von Geschlechtergleichheit" und die Vereinbarkeit von Berufs- und Privatleben im Zusammenhang mit der "drei-Kind-Politik".
