Zusammenfassung

Die Australische Verfassung ist außerhalb des dortigen Kontinents wenig bekannt. Und doch lohnt eine Auseinandersetzung mit ihrem Inhalt und ihrer praktischen Anwendung sehr, gerade im Hinblick auf Besonderheiten in Legislative, Exekutive, Judikative sowie Kompetenzfragen, verfassungsändernden Referenda und Grundrechtsschutz. Darüber hinaus bietet diese Monographie Einsicht in Geschichte und potenzielle Perspektiven für das Verhältnis zwischen Australien und der EU, das in den kommenden Jahren und Jahrzehnten gewiss noch von großer Bedeutung sein wird.
