Der Aufstieg der Blockchain-Technologien beeinflusst viele Sektoren und den Alltag, wobei rechtliche Fragen und Debatten entstehen. Dieses Buch untersucht ein zentrales Thema an der Schnittstelle von Recht und Technologie: Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Es analysiert die Beziehung zwischen DAOs und dem traditionellen Gesellschaftsrecht in verschiedenen Rechtsordnungen. Das Buch besteht aus drei Kapiteln. Das erste behandelt die Grundlagen der Blockchain und ihre rechtlichen Entwicklungen. Das zweite analysiert die Anwendung von Zivil- und Common-Law auf DAOs sowie neue rechtliche Strukturen. Das letzte Kapitel stellt den New Code vor, einen regulatorischen Vorschlag zur Lösung der identifizierten Herausforderungen.
