Zusammenfassung

Infolge der Globalisierung entwickeln sich in Asien und Lateinamerika neue Wirtschaftsmächte, wodurch die Gefahr besteht, dass die Vereinigten Staaten und Europa im globalen Wettbewerb verdrängt werden. Welche Rolle werden die Vereinigten Staaten und die Europäische Union angesichts dieser globalen Machtverschiebung bei der Förderung der Zusammenarbeit in diesem neuen globalen Umfeld spielen? Ein transatlantisches Handels- und Investitionspartnerschaftsabkommen zwischen den USA und der EU würde neue Möglichkeiten für beide Seiten des Atlantiks schaffen. In diesem Buch werden die Gründe für das Scheitern von TTIP untersucht und Empfehlungen sowie Lösungen für die Fortsetzung der Verhandlungen über das transatlantische Handelsabkommen gegeben.
