The purpose of this study is to consider the value andrelevance of these sources for the reconstruction of thesocial, political, cultural and religious history of the Arabs asthey were still pagans, and to reconstruct the emergence ofMuhammadan and immediately post-Muhammadan religionand polity. – This is the first book in a new series entitledTheories and Paradigms of Islamic Studies.
