Dieses Buch bietet Einblicke in den Schutz der Biodiversität der Waldökosysteme in den ukrainischen Karpaten, einem Biodiversitäts-Hotspot. Es untersucht internationale Bestimmungen, die ukrainische Gesetzgebung und den Stand ihrer Umsetzung. Halbstrukturierte Interviews identifizieren verbleibende Bedrohungen und Risiken. Die Analyse bewährter Verfahren und Synergien zwischen Rechtsregimen zeigt Änderungsvorschläge zur Verbesserung des Schutzes der biologischen Vielfalt auf. Diese Arbeit ist interessant für Fachleute im internationalen Recht, dem ukrainischen Rechtssystem und dem Biodiversitätsschutz.
