Zusammenfassung
Reproduktive Rechte bleiben ein umstrittenes Thema auch im Völkerrecht, sie haben aber in den letzten drei Jahrzehnten an Resilienz und Robustheit gewonnen. Die Autorin analysiert in diesem Buch die Entwicklung reproduktiver Rechte in den UN-Menschenrechts- und Entwicklungszusammenarbeitsforen seit deren offizieller Anerkennung 1994. Ein Fokus wird dabei auf die Interaktion von Gegnern und Befürworten miteinander, mit den UN-Institutionen und dem Recht, um die reproduktiven Rechte in ihrem Sinne zu formen. Die Autorin argumentiert, dass reproduktive Rechtsquellen zunehmend verflochten sind und so – trotz Fragmentierung und Kontestierungen – resilient und robust geworden sind.
