Zusammenfassung

Information management in construction is a decisive cost and time factor. If the transmission and management of information does not function optimally, this results in considerable material and other losses. In its currently five parts, the standard ISO 19650 offers a basic framework for the design of information management in construction. It contains the specifications and tasks that should enable successful information management and covers all life cycles of the building. This book is intended as a guide and working aid for the practical implementation of ISO 19650. It illustrates the concrete application of the standard and gives examples of compliance with the requirements. Expert tips and practical knowledge make this book a valuable aid when working with ISO 19650. You can expect to find the following topics: Information and data; recommendations, hints and practical tips; management, exchange, recording and archiving of information; the roles of those involved in the BIM process; a glimpse at how the field may develop in the future.
