Zusammenfassung

Das Prinzip der Netzneutralität besagt, dass alle Datenpakete, die über das Internet gesendet werden, gleich behandelt werden müssen, unabhängig von Ursprung, Ziel oder Inhalt. Seine Geltung steht aktuell im Fokus der amerikanischen und europäischen Regulierungsbehörden und wird sehr kontrovers debattiert. Dieses Buch trägt mit einem wissenschaftlichen und interessenneutralen Blick auf das Prinzip der Netzneutralität und dem verwandten Prinzip des Open Access zu dieser Debatte bei, um erwartete Überlastungen in der Telekommunikationsinfrastruktur zu begegnen. Das Werk enthält die Beiträge von führenden internationalen Juristen und Ökonomen, aber auch die Sicht von Regulierungsbehörden zu den möglichen Auswirkungen der Regulierungsansätze von Netzneutralität und Open Access und gibt damit einen umfassenden und interdisziplinären Überblick zu dieser Thematik.
