Zusammenfassung

Souveränität, Sicherheit, Rechte, Partizipation: Diese vier Makro-Themen sind durch die Auswirkungen der digitalen Technologien auf die Struktur des Völkerrechts stark betroffen. Aber welche Rolle spielt das Völkerrecht für das Internet? Und wie haben das Internet und die Plattformen, Cyberwaffen und Multistakeholder-Ansätze zur Rechtsetzung das Völkerrecht beeinflusst? Dieses Buch untersucht die wechselseitigen Einflüsse zwischen digitalen Technologien und Völkerrecht und trägt dazu bei, den hartnäckigen Mythos vom Internet als unreguliertem Raum zu entkräften. Auf diese Weise zeigt es aktuelle und zukünftige Forschungsfelder auf, die an der Schnittstelle zwischen Völkerrecht und digitalen Technologien entstehen und in Zukunft noch an Bedeutung gewinnen werden.
