Zusammenfassung

Die Anregung, einen einschlägigen Überblick in englischer Sprache zu verfassen – unter Einbeziehung der Terminologie, der historischen Entwicklung, des normativen Rahmens sowie des aktuellen Stands in Deutschland – geht auf mehrere Vorträge zurück, die der Verfasser an unterschiedlichen Institutionen gehalten hat: etwa an der Juristischen Fakultät der Universität Split, der Hochschule Esslingen sowie im Rahmen einer Tagung des Instituts für Ostrecht in Regensburg. Einschlägige Materialien wurden bereits in russischer und ukrainischer Sprache veröffentlicht.Aktuelle Trends und Diskussionen, etwa in den Freistaaten Thüringen und Sachsen, werden ebenfalls einbezogen und diskutiert.
