Summary
The suggestion to write a relevant overview in English – including the terminology, the historical development, the normative framework and the current status in Germany – goes back to several lectures given by the author at various institutions: for example at the Faculty of Law of the University of Split, the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and at a conference of the Institute for Eastern European Law in Regensburg.
