Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff „Diktatur des Proletariats” zählt zu den rätselhaftesten und einflussreichsten Konzepten des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die in diesem Band versammelten Autor:innen zeichnen daher nicht nur die unterschiedlichen Interpretationen des Begriffs nach, sondern auch die Faszination bestimmter Interpretationsmuster und deren Funktionalisierung im politischen Bereich. Es werden einzelne wichtige Pioniere und Denker vorgestellt, die frühe Staatsbildung der „Diktatur des Proletariats“ anhand von Fallstudien erörtert und konzeptionelle Verschiebungen sowie Überarbeitungen analysiert. Lange vor 1989 hatte sich der Begriff „Diktatur des Proletariats” zu einem legitimierenden Konzept des Marxismus-Leninismus verfestigt – heute ist er selbst nur noch Teil der Geschichte.
