Zusammenfassung
Erstmals befasst sich diese Arbeit mit der Frage, wie eine mögliche Rechtshilfe in Strafsachen innerhalb und zwischen dem Verband Südostasiatischer Staaten (ASEAN) und der Europäischen Union (EU) ausgestaltet werden könnte. Hierfür wird die internationalen Zusammenarbeit in Strafsachen insbesondere in Bezug auf Rechtshilfe in der ASEAN und der EU, einschließlich ihrer Mitgliedstaaten wie den Philippinen, Malaysia, Großbritannien und Deutschland, analysiert. Den Ausgangspunkt dieses Rechtsvergleichs bildet eine Darstellung der historischen und gesellschaftspolitischen Grundlagen der Regionalverbände sowie der bestehenden Rechtshilfemechanismen.
