Zeitschrift für Politik sees its main goals in representing political science in its full range; in outlining its development in research and teaching and in serving as a forum for innovative academic discussions. It addresses scholars from various fields of research: political theory and philosophy, comparative political studies and international relations, political sociology, political economy and political law.

"GL" has been published by the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas since 1969 and is one of the best established publications in the field of German linguistics. To date, more than 250 thematic issues have been published, 2-3 per year. “GL” provides an overview of fundamental issues in German linguistics and topics that have a particular impact on the discipline. Each issue is dedicated to a specific topic.

Offa is named after a legendary king of the Anglo-Saxons reigning over part of Schleswig-Holstein, who was praised for his braveness and wisdom. The early volumes of Offa, which started in 1936, mainly published articles on local Archaeology, but already showing a wide chronological range from Prehistory to the Middle Ages. Archaeology being a trans-regional science, in the course of time numerous scholars from Scandinavia, Western, Central and Eastern Europe presented their results of research.

Die Zeitschrift psychosozial beschäftigt sich mit gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Erfahrungen und deren Zusammenhang mit psychischen Entwicklungen und Dynamiken. Die Zeitschrift fördert den Dialog zwischen den Sozialwissenschaften, den Kulturwissenschaften, der Psychologie und der Psychoanalyse und bietet Raum für Beiträge zur qualitativen, quantitativen sowie theoretisch-konzeptionellen Forschung.

Die 1978 gegründete Zeitschrift erschien zunächst im Rowohlt Verlag, ab 1986 im Beltz Verlag. Seit 1993 erscheint sie im Psychosozial-Verlag mit vier Themenheften pro Jahr. Im Jahr 2014 hat sich die Zeitschrift psychosozial mit der Zeitschrift Psychotherapie und Sozialwissenschaft zusammengeschlossen.

Jedes der Hefte bietet neben den Schwerpunktthemen auch Raum für freie Beiträge und Rezensionen. Alle Beiträge sind peer-reviewed.

Since 1970, Sozialpsychiatrische Informationen has been an interdisciplinary platform for reform-oriented psychiatry.

STADION is the only multilingual academic journal on sports history at international level.

About the Journal

S+F (Securit y and Peace) is the leading German journal for peace research and security policy. The journal aims to serve as a forum linking civil society and the armed forces in the areas of science and politics comprising of research analysis, insider reports and opinion pieces. Decisions on publication are made on the basis of the contribution made by a text to national and international discussions on peace and security issues; from scientific aspects of arms control, to questions of nation-building in post-war societies.

Every issue of S+F is focussed on a particular theme. In addition to contributions devoted to the central theme, texts addressing general aspects of peace and security research are also published. Contributors can choose whether to have the text evaluated by the editorial team or by way of an external evaluation process (double-blind peer-review).

“Anthropos” – the International Review of Anthropology and Linguistics, has been edited by Anthropos Institute (since 1962 in Sankt Augustin) since 1906 and (in recent years) published biannually. Originally relying on ethnographic contributions of Roman Catholic missionaries, the review evolved and today it is one of the most important anthropological reviews worldwide. It publishes articles on cultural as well as linguistic subjects in several languages, focusing on Cultural Anthropology, (Post-)Colonial Studies, Study of Religion and Linguistics.

Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen contains articles on political issues dealing with representation and legitimation of the political system. The articles provide a broad overview of the functioning of national and regional parliaments as well as a forum for comparative analysis of international parliaments. One stress is on the parliamentary development of different countries. Since 1975, the ›Allgemeine Zeitschrift für Philosophie‹ (General Journal of Philosophy) has been fostering a professional exchange of ideas for all those interested in philosophical thought with three issues per year. In its content, the journal provides a forum for all lines of thought and opinions in philosophy in the entire range of history, geography and doctrines. This openness corresponds to what the journal sees as its mission and the commitment indicated in its name. Respect for the philosophical tradition will open our eyes for anything which is new, which is foreign to us or which has remained foreign and those subjects which have been ignored up to now. In order to provide space for subjects of this nature, one issue of each volume focuses on one specific subject. An international advisory board supports the study of current topics in a worldwide philosophical discourse. Since 2004, a consistent »Double blind peer review« process has been vouching for strict quality standards in the selection of the articles submitted. The language of publication is German.
