The book introduces to English procedural law. After discussing system differences (common law, equity), general aspects (legislation, constitutional law, public law, interpretation of law, judicial controls including judicial review) and proceedings before the civil courts, the author turns his attention to legal protection in social matters. First, the administrative procedures in the National Health System and Social Security System are explained. This is followed by a general overview of proceedings before the First-tier Tribunal, as well as an explanation of special rules for two selected chambers and appeal proceedings before the Upper Tribunal. Finally, the author discusses alternative dispute resolutions and legal aid law.
