Why is it important to establish concepts of mindfulness and meditation in our universities? What impact does this have on the educational system and on the participants? Andreas de Bruin looks at the results of the first ten years of the Munich model "Mindfulness and Meditation in the Context of Higher Education", which has been in existence since 2010 and in which over 2,000 students have participated so far. In notes from their meditation diaries, they report on the significance the practice of mindfulness and meditation has gained in their studies and daily lives. In addition to an overview of the current state of research, in-depth contributions and explanations of important terms from mindfulness and meditation practice, the book also contains numerous exercises including instructions.
