Jonas Einck explores how the social economy can contribute to the socio-ecological transformation. He examines the roles that non-profit organisations in the social economy (can) play in the ongoing transformation process. Based on interviews with experts, he defines the spectrum of possible roles and, by identifying new contexts, he can also locate future roles for non-profit organisations. Written for social organisations as well as students and designers of the social economy, the book outlines new strategies for dealing with future socio-ecological crises. This work was awarded the special prize of the Evangelisches Johanneswerk for outstanding theses at the Evangelische Hochschule Bochum.
