Summary

Many companies and organisations advertise with diversity and diversity management and present it as a socio-theoretical and political concept for the future. In this way, economic and social problems are to be overcome and inclusion advanced. Bugrahan Ilseven critically analyses the question of how and under what conditions diversity management shapes pluralistic societies in an inclusive and integrating way. He also asks what contribution interculturality and intercultural competences can make to making late-modern societies inclusive. He does this by analysing the concepts of diversity management in the "Ford-Werke GmbH Köln", the Bundeswehr and in the school system.
