Summary
In her empirical study, Sarah Fussel deals with the Instagram project #IchBinSophieScholl. The profile of the resistance fighter, created by the television stations SWR and BR, was filled with historical content and was intended to make it possible to experience the last phase of Sophie Scholl's life virtually in real time. In order to analyze how the recipients react to the content and the highly artificial communication situation, the author categorized and evaluated a total of 340 Instagram posts. Her study paints a multi-layered and dense picture of the different reception approaches, reactions and interactions, which also allow conclusions to be drawn about our current historical culture.
