Summary

Smart Factory oder Industrie 4.0 und Digitalisierung sind Entwicklungen, die weit in die Arbeitswelt und Gesellschaft eingreifen und deren Folgen noch relativ unklar sind. Der Blick in vier wirtschaftsstarke Regionen in den europäischen Ländern (Deutschland, Italien, Schweden, Spanien) zeigt, dass sich die technisch-ökonomischen Entwicklung sowie die Erwartungen je unterschiedlich darstellen. Der Band gliedert sich in vier Teile. Der erste Teil beschäftigt sich mit dem Ausmaß und den Folgen der Digitalisierung. Gegenstände des zweiten und dritten Teils sind Berichte und Ergebnisse aus den Ländern bzw. Regionen. Diese basieren auf Expertengesprächen und einer Delphi-Online-Befragung in drei Wellen, in dessen Rahmen Szenarien entwickelt und abgefragt wurden. Aufbauend darauf nimmt der vierte Teil die Handlungsmöglichkeiten im Betrieb und der Politik in den Blick. Die Beiträge sind in deutscher oder englischer Sprache verfasst und mit Zusammenfassungen in Deutsch, Englisch, Italienisch und Spanisch ergänzt.
