Summary

This book is a twofold plea for both pro-life and pro-choice, which often polarise the discourse: protection of the unborn versus right to abortion, moral condemnation of suicide versus advocacy of euthanasia. But both sides have much to learn from each other. If we cut through the mutual defamation, it becomes clear that despite all the differences in their application, the conflicting approaches share common values such as solidarity, care, non-violence, self-determination and respect for human dignity. The book invites us to rethink the ethics of pro-life and pro-choice, and suggests ways for an unprejudiced dialogue between pro-life and pro-choice advocates.
