Zusammenfassung

Ist der Populismus die „Ideologie der Demokratie“ (Margaret Canovan) schlechthin, eine Bedrohung, die einen „moralischen Alleinvertretungsanspruch“ (Jan-Werner Müller) erhebt, oder doch eine „Reihe von diskursiven Ressourcen, die ganz unterschiedlich eingesetzt werden können“ (Ernesto Laclau)? Dieses Buch bringt als erster Sammelband im deutschsprachigen Raum diskursive Populismusansätze im breiten Sinne zusammen. Die hier versammelten Populismusforscher_innen arbeiten konzeptuell fundierte sowie empirisch nuancierte Analysen populistischer Diskurse in verschiedenen Staats-, Öffentlichkeits- sowie Parteien- und Bewegungskontexten heraus. Vertreten sind unterschiedliche politik- und diskurstheoretische Positionen, die zur präzisen Untersuchung demokratischer und autoritärer Einsätze des Populismus dienlich sind, und in Form ausgewählter Länderstudien vorgestellt werden. Mit Beiträgen von Aristotelis Agridopoulos, Bianca de Freitas Linhares, Paolo Gerbaudo, Ybiskay González Torres, Marius Hildebrand, Seongcheol Kim, Jürgen Link, Conrad Lluis, Daniel de Mendonça, Jan-Werner Müller, Yannis Stavrakakis, Liv Sunnercrantz und Thomás Zicman de Barros.
