Zusammenfassung

Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich theoretisch und empirisch anhand der Fallstudien zu Schweden und Israel mit dem Paradigma der Institutionellen Sklerose, wonach Wohlfahrstaaten zu Stagnation, Inflation und zuletzt zu ökonomischem Verfall neigen, denen sie nicht entkommen können. Dieses Paradigma wird jedoch letztlich als obsolet verworfen.
