Zusammenfassung

Das Ausbilden einer eigenen Identität ist ein lebenslanger Prozess. Jedes Individuum strebt danach, individuelle Merkmale auszuprägen, um sich von anderen abzugrenzen. Die vorliegende Dissertation analysiert das Integrationsverhalten chinesischer Zuwanderer in Berlin anhand einer Fallstudie, die interessante Erkenntnisse bringt: Die Zuwanderer fühlen die Notwendigkeit, ihre chinesische Identität zu rekonstruieren – allerdings mit dem Ziel, sich damit in Deutschland besser zu integrieren. Dies führt oft zu Konflikten innerhalb von Familien.
