Zusammenfassung

Die Popularität und die Wahlerfolge islamistischer Gruppierungen im Arabischen Frühling haben die Bedeutung dieser als ,Big Player‘ im politischen System Ägyptens eindrucksvoll unterstrichen. Die im vorliegenden Buch untersuchten ägyptisch-islamistischen Gruppen, die Daᶜwa-Salafiyya, die Ägyptische Muslimbruderschaft und die Wasaṭ-Partei, hatten damit erstmals in ihrer Geschichte die Option, an allgemeinverbindlichen Entscheidungen mitzuwirken und ihre institutionellen Visionen graduell umzusetzen. Die divergierenden Vorstellungen islamisch (-demokratischer) Herrschaft unter den drei Gruppen werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit unter dem Einsatz interdisziplinärer Methoden einander vergleichend gegenübergestellt.
