Zusammenfassung

Dieses Buch ist eine Studie über ein Volk, einen Ort und verschiedene Auftritte in einem Nachkriegsmilieu, das einst als Staat Jugoslawien bekannt war. Ein Krieg zwischen drei Militärs zwischen 1991–95 wurde mit dem Friedensabkommen von Dayton beendet, und während die Kämpfe aufhörten, blieben die Konflikte bestehen. Die Skripari sehen sich selbst als Vorhut eines vom Fußball inspirierten ethnopolitischen Nationalismus, der zum Teil jahrhundertealte Vorläufer hat. Wer könnte in diesem politischen Milieu nach dem Konflikt Kompromisse eingehen - und wie und mit wem - und angesichts welcher Argumente? Derartige Thesen suchen nach weiteren Antworten auf die Frage, welche Strukturen, Kontexte und Themen das Streben nach einer Post-Konflikt-Zivilgesellschaft behindern oder erleichtern könnten.
