Zusammenfassung

Wie sieht das Verbraucherinformationsrecht in Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Irland, Schweden und den USA im Vergleich zum deutschen Recht aus? Wie setzen sich Informationsrechte der Bürger zusammen?

Das Verbraucherinformationsrecht stellt ein noch junges, aktuelles Themengebiet dar, dass Fragen des Informationsfreiheitsrechtes und öffentlich-rechtlicher Informationspflichten in Gefahrensituationen bis hin zu Produktkennzeichnungspflichten und vorvertraglichen Auskunftsrechten gleichermaßen erfasst.

Das Bundesministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz hat daher zur Vorbereitung der Evaluierung des Verbraucherinformationsgesetzes das Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privat- und Wirtschaftsrecht der Universität Heidelberg unter der Federführung des Herausgebers dieses Werkes mit einer rechtsvergleichenden Studie zum Verbraucherinformationsrecht beauftragt. Zur Vorbereitung dieser Studie wurde für jede der zu untersuchenden Rechtsordnungen ein nationaler Landesbericht eingeholt. Band 1 des Werkes enthält den rechtsvergleichenden Abschlussbericht mit den Ergebnissen der Studie, während Band 2 die nationalen Landesberichte wiedergibt.
