Zusammenfassung

Wer verstehen will, wie sich nicht-religiöse Menschen in weitgehend säkularisierten Gesellschaften organisieren, findet in dieser Studie grundlegende Antworten. Anhand der Organisation „Humanisterna“ wird aufgezeigt, wie säkulare Humanist:innen in Schweden Identität, Werte und Aktivismus aushandeln – zwischen Lebensanschauung, Religionskritik und Menschenrechtsarbeit. Die ethnografisch fundierte Analyse gibt tiefe Einblicke in ein dynamisches Spannungsfeld zwischen Religion und Säkularität und liefert neue Perspektiven auf die Vielfalt der Nicht-Religion. Ein Gewinn für alle, die sich mit Religionssoziologie, Säkularität oder sozialen Bewegungen beschäftigen.
