Zusammenfassung

Der Band widmet sich Fragen von Sicherheit und Risiko in der Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensgeschichte. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Untersuchung der zentralen Rolle von Präventivmaßnahmen, entsprechenden Unternehmensstrategien, (öffentlichen) Forderungen nach Maßnahmen zur Förderung der Sicherheit und der bewussten Vermeidung von als riskant erachteten Handlungen. Im Zentrum stehen dabei weniger Fragen der Risikovermeidung als vielmehr eine Analyse von Entscheidungen und Strategien zur Herstellung von Stabilität sowie der Abwendung potenzieller Bedrohungen. Ziel des Bandes ist es zu beleuchten, wie diese sicherheitsorientierten Interventionen und vorausschauenden Ansätze Wirtschaft und Unternehmen geprägt haben.
