Zusammenfassung
Ist ein Jahresüberschuss erstrebenswert, oder sollte die ökonomische Größe um eine soziale oder ökologische Dimension ergänzt werden, z.B. durch Treibhausgasemissionen oder gesundheitliche Folgen für Arbeitnehmer? Die GRI stellt mit ihren Guidelines, den G4, einen de-facto-Standard für die Berichterstattung über ökologische und soziale Informationen bereit, die sogenannte Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung über nichtfinanzielle Informationen.
Im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Abhandlung wird untersucht, ob nach den G4 erstellte nichtfinanzielle Informationen durch Dritte geprüft werden können. Zudem wird beantwortet, ob ein bereits mit Prüfungen beauftragter Akteur (Wirtschaftsprüfer) aufgrund institutioneller oder funktionaler Aspekte besonders geeignet hierzu erscheint.
Ausgangspunkt der Untersuchung sind die Erkenntnisse aus der Prüfung von finanzwirtschaftlichen Informationen.
