About the Journal

Soziale Arbeit, founded in 1951, is an independent academic journal which addresses developments in the context of social work. It is one of the most important publication media in its field and is read by teachers, students and researchers in social work and social pedagogy as well as by professionals and managers from associations and institutions.

The journal’s aim is to promote professional development in social work fields by presenting methods and new concepts, in addition to subject-specific practical reports. In the ‘Rundschau’ (Review) section, information from all social fields is compiled. The ‘Tagungskalender’ (Conference Calendar) refers to important events, and the ‘Zeitschriftenbibliographie’ (Bibliography of Journals) lists current articles from professional journals.

Soziale Arbeit is published 11 times a year with an annual focus issue published as a double issue. All scholarly articles submitted for publication in the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. "World Comparative Law / VRU" analyses developments in constitutional and public law in states and regions outside Europe and North America (in what used be called the ‘Third World’) as well as their regional and international integration. Founded in 1968 and inspired by the ideals of ‘decolonization’ and fair cooperation, the Journal also has a special interest in the entanglements between ‘Global South’ and ‘Global North’, including the presence of the ‘South in the North’. Looking beyond the surface of globalization, ‘World Comparative Law / VRU’ promotes scholarship that uncovers the particularities of legal configurations as well as their interdependencies in an interconnected world.

The journal seeks to publish theoretically and historically informed studies of law in context, but is equally open to contributions from social sciences and from practitioners. It has a particular interest in analyses that compare several legal orders but is equally attentive to studies in international law and its impact on Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as comparative international law.

“World Comparative Law / VRU" addresses authors and readers on all world regions and aims to serve as a forum of mutual exchange. It publishes research articles, shorter reports about current events or conferences as well as book reviews.

This journal provides international contributions from all fields of modern philosophy. Topics range from theoretical areas like logics or epistemology to ethical and moral questions.

It also includes works dealing with the reception of ancient and medieval thought by modern philosophers, or the influence these have in contemporary authors. Edited and published in Chile, it welcomes papers, discussions and book review (written in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese) in all areas of Modern Philosophy.

The quarterly entitled integration will appeal to all those in academia, education, politics, administration and the media who are concerned with European issues. It represents a theory-based and politics-related interdisciplinary forum on fundamental questions relating to European integration, in which the current problems of European policy are discussed from both a political and an academic perspective.

The journal contains three categories of articles: academic contributions and fundamental analyses of European policy, conference reports and literature reviews.

In 1981/82, members of the fields of health, social work, and education of the Socialist Office founded the magazine Widersprüche. In this time of green awakening and radicalized conservative turn, they attempted to establish an initial position as an editorial collective: "Defend, criticize, and overcome simultaneously." Under this programmatic framework, they aimed to contribute as an opposition to defending the material achievements of the education and social sectors, criticizing their hegemonic function, and concretizing concepts for their overcoming. Convinced that an alternative social policy is neither politically nor theoretically sufficient for a socialist perspective in the education and social sectors, they formulated the first attempt at an alternative to social policy as considerations for a "politics of the social."

The Federal Association of Families of People with Mental Illness (BApK), the Dachverband Gemeindepsychiatrie e. V., and Aktion Psychisch Kranke (APK) use Psychosoziale Umschau as their nationwide bulletin. Additionally, every issue covers self-help topics for people with experiences of psychiatry.

management revue - Socio-Economic Studies is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary European journal publishing both qualitative and quantitative work, as well as purely theoretical papers that advance the study of management, organisation, and industrial relations. management revue publishes articles that contribute to theory from a number of disciplines, including business and public administration, organizational behaviour, economics, sociology, and psychology. Reviews of books relevant to management and organization studies are a regular feature.

Special issues provide a unique and rich insight into the issue's research field. Each special issue, organized by selected guest editors, will comprise at least two (controversial) overview articles from leaders in the field, at least three new empirical papers and up to ten book reviews related to the relevant topic.
