Finally imperfect

From perfectionism to lightness

Summary

Perfectionism is the fine line between ingenious brilliance and maximum overload, between authentic self-realisation and toxic continuous optimisation. But where does the tendency towards perfectionism come from? Why are so many women affected? And how can we free ourselves from the perfectionism trap? Eileen Jacobs provides answers to these questions. Using moving interviews and her own story, she illustrates how society, the social environment and the media drive women into perfectionism. She skilfully explores the abysses of the perfectionist spiral and illustrates ways to distance oneself from excessive perfectionism in order to realise life with healthy ease. And it doesn‘t take much. The first steps are very simple: be strong, be courageous, be authentic.
