Summary

The interview study provides an introduction to the current reality of Russian-speaking Jews in Germany. It focuses on their experiences of life in post-Shoah Germany and in relation to the war against Ukraine, terror against Israel and antisemitism. The study examines how this affects their ideas of identity and belonging. It turns out that these ideas change in the face of war, terror and anti-Semitism. What should be or has been developed as a new sense of belonging now threatens to lose this status in the face of rampant antisemitism. The sociological study provides the basis for approaching marginalised perspectives and deriving requirements in various fields of action.
