The first volume a the critical edition of Valentine Crautwald's lectures on the New Testament. Introduced by a study of the commentator to 1530, this edition includes the sixteenth-century Reissner biography of Crautwald, and, in addition to his details on the editorial conventions, a succinct description of Crautwald's hermeneutical principles.
