Transnationale Wirtschaftskriminalität als globales State-Corporate Crime

Rohstoffbeziehungen mit Lateinamerika auf dem kriminologischen Prüfstand
Authors:
Series:
Schriften zur Kriminologie, Volume 26
Publisher:
 2023

Summary

The "undercriminalized" criminality of the politically and economically powerful actors is the focus of the work. The connections between economic policy issues and forms of structural violence are presented as the context of this criminality. Activities, interactions of interests and consequences of the socially harmful industrial resource extraction of the Global North in Latin America are examined case-analytically with the help of the concept of state-corporate crime, which is still unknown in Germany. The book is thus an enrichment for German-language criminology and will also stimulate (criminal) legal as well as legal policy discussions.
