Summary

Schools should offer learning with all senses, including the sense of movement. The methodical material shows concrete examples for learning in motion in primary schools in music with the aims: Additional access to information is to be opened up, e.g. experiencing and understanding music using body language or dancing motions. The processing of information can be optimised by gathering information while walking as well as by switching seats while making music. Learning in motion also helps to prevent children from sitting in one position for too long. In addition, it can increase the pleasure in learning. Moreover, pupils are to connect indepedent learning with movement. They are to look for new variations and to work with a partner.
