Summary

When asked for G:ds name, G:d replied: «I Am Who I Am» (Ex 3:14). G:d is therefore present, G:d is close to us and to all of creation, and is in interaction with everything. However, someone who is in relation with everything must also be very flexible, changing others and allowing themselves to be changed. This biblically based conviction of faith in a highly social deity is represented, among others, by process theologies. Classical attributes of G:d such as omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence are re-explored—always with the aim of speaking about G:d in an appropriate, reasonable, contemporary, and understandable way. This work is intended as an introduction to process theology for an theologically interested audience.
