Summary

The ethical discussion surrounding AI seems to be dominated by top-down regulatory approaches that are not only unfriendly to innovation, but also leave little room for business ethics efforts. Big tech has disappointed social expectations. This book presents alternatives and a new approach to AI ethics as business ethics that relies not on large corporations but on morally superior start-ups. In this context, a concept of responsibility is proposed and analyzed that is both philosophically sound and attractive for practitioners.
