Zusammenfassung

Das Werk führt ein neues Verständnis für das wenig untersuchte Genre der Verfassungspräambeln ein und betrachtet sie als moderne Beispiele für Schöpfungsmythen. Als Texte, die an der Schnittstelle von Recht, Politik und Geschichte angesiedelt sind, werden Verfassungspräambeln hier als Narrative verstanden, die die Grundlagen einer neuen Ordnung verkünden und ihr eine historische Bedeutung zuschreiben. Das Hauptziel der Studie besteht darin zu zeigen, dass diese rhetorischen Züge denen von Schöpfungsgeschichten in antiken Mythologien ähneln.
