Zusammenfassung
In der gesamten süd- und südostasiatischen Region ist die zunehmende Beteiligung von Frauen am Terrorismus ein zunehmend auffälliges, aber wenig untersuchtes Phänomen. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht der Band anhand einzigartiger empirischer Daten, warum sich Frauen aus Bangladesch in dschihadistischen islamistischen Netzwerken engagieren, welche Rolle sie in der Organisation spielen und wie die bangladeschische Regierung und der Sicherheitsapparat auf den weiblichen Dschihadismus reagiert haben. Dazu werden Pressenberichte, Polizei- und Gerichtsdokumente sowie Interviews herangezogen.
