Der Band bietet einen aktuellen Überblick über Konzepte und Perspektiven von Regionalismus und interregionaler Kooperation. Dabei stehen die interregionalen Beziehungen zwischen Asien und Europa im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchung. Wissenschaftler aus Asien, dem Asien-Pazifik-Raum und Europa analysieren die politischen, ökonomischen, sicherheitsspezifischen und kulturellen Aspekte von Regionalisierungsprozessen und interregionaler Kooperation aus theoretischer und empirischer Perspektive. Sie veranschaulichen, dass Interregionalismus als Basis für verantwortungsbewusste Regierungsbildung in einer globalisierten Welt dienen kann.
