Zusammenfassung

Dieses Buch betont, dass in der Wissenschaft trotz Einigkeit über die Rolle der Suffizienz als Nachhaltigkeitsleitprinzip kein Konsens über ihren genauen Beitrag zum Wandel besteht. Es zeigt via Diskursanalyse, dass die Suffizienz auch in der Praxis von Energie- und Klimamodellregionen mit vielfältigen Bedeutungen aufgeladen ist. Dabei kritisiert es, dass das gängigste Suffizienzverständnis auch das schwächste Transformationspotenzial entfaltet und zeigt Wege zur Freisetzung des ungenutzten Potenzials auf. Das Werk adressiert Fachleute aus Forschung und Politik, die dazu beitragen wollen, dass die Suffizienz ihren dringend benötigten Beitrag für Nachhaltigkeit beisteuern kann. Die Autorin forscht zu Nachhaltigkeit, Demokratie und Energie.
