Zusammenfassung

Die Verbreitung sogenannter Neuer Psychoaktiver Substanzen (NPS) stellt eine große Herausforderung für die Drogenpolitik dar, da sich diese Substanzen gesetzlichen Kontrollen entziehen und schnell verbreiten. Dieser Band untersucht die NPS-Krise in Zentralasien und China und nimmt sowohl die öffentliche Gesundheitspolitik, die Arbeit der Strafverfolgungsbehörden als auch drogenpolitische Reformen in den Blick. Der Band bietet einen umfassenden Einblick in regionale und globale Trends, Frühwarnsysteme und Programme zur Schadensminimierung (Harm Reduction). Durch die Auseinandersetzung mit diesen komplexen Herausforderungen leistet der Band einen Beitrag zur aktuellen Debatte über Drogenpolitik, öffentliche Gesundheit und Menschenrechte im Kampf gegen synthetische Drogen.
