Zusammenfassung

In „Antigones Schwestern“ erkundet Lenart Škof die Macht der Liebe in unserer Welt. Anhand von Antigone, Savitri und Maria bietet das Buch eine Untersuchung weiblicher Figuren aus unterschiedlichen philosophischen, mythologischen, theologischen und literarischen Kontexten. Darüber hinaus werden weibliche Aspekte in ausgewählten philosophischen Texten herausgearbeitet, wie die Matrix bei Jakob Böhme, Clara bei F. W. J. Schelling, chóra bei Jacques Derrida und Atem bei Luce Irigaray. Mit der Neuinterpretation von Antigone und den damit verbundenen Lektüren von Irigaray, Kristeva und Ettinger will das Buch Gründe für das Vergessen der Liebe aufzeigen und vor Augen führen, dass nur die Liebe unserer ethisch zerrütteten Welt Frieden bringen kann.
