Zusammenfassung

Die ländlichen Regionen Chinas sind im Vergleich zu den städtischen Regionen deutlich weniger entwickelt. Das ländliche Finanzsystem hat in den zurückliegenden Dekaden seine Funktionen nur unzureichend erfüllt. Um die Entwicklung der ländlichen Regionen zu fördern, wurden 1994 seitens der chinesischen Regierung Reformen des ländlichen Finanzsystems eingeleitet.

Das Buch analysiert die Reform der wichtigsten ländlichen Finanzinstitute und stellt den Status quo der Kommerzialisierung und Diversifizierung des ländlichen Finanzmarktes dar. Die Autorin will die Fragen beantworten, welche politischen Maßnahmen zur Effizienzsteigerung der ländlichen Finanzierungsinstitute die chinesische Regierung ergriffen hat, inwieweit die Kommerzialisierung der Genossenschaftsbanken erfolgreich ist, und welche Probleme die ländlichen Finanzinstitute nach wie vor haben.
