Das Buch ist die erste Studie in englischer Sprache über buddhistische Bildung an Universitäten. Es analysiert Inhalt und Organisation der buddhistischen Bildung sowohl auf empirische als auch auf normative Weise und schlägt neue Ansätze für den Umgang mit der vielfältigen religiösen Landschaft Vietnams vor.
