Zusammenfassung
Dieses Buch hält einmalige Einsichten in das Zusammenspiel zwischen dem internationalen Anti-Korruptions- und Entwicklungsdiskurs und deren lokaler Umsetzung in Lateinamerika bereit. Basierend auf Post-Development-Ansätzen untersucht das Buch Anti-Korruptionsdiskurse in Paraguay und Chile und zeigt überzeugend, dass Korruption kein neutrales Konzept ist. Es stellt vielmehr heraus, dass die internationale Anti-Korruptionskampagne im globalen Süden dominant ist: Die meisten Anti-Korruptionskonzepte dort basieren auf Lösungsvorschlägen des globalen Nordens. Aber die lokale Aneignung des globalen Diskurses zeigen dennoch deutliche inhaltliche Abweichungen und politische Instrumentalisierung auf. Lokale Übersetzungen globaler Strategien beinhalten dadurch Potenzial, sich weiter vom dominanten Entwicklungsdiskurs zu emanzipieren.
Das Buch ist insbesondere für alle interessant, die sich mit Korruption, mit Lateinamerika und mit Entwicklungsarbeit auseinandersetzen.
